GP Referrals

I encourage self-referral from the patient, and it is usually sufficient for you as a GP to pass on my contact details to the patient to make contact with me. You might also like to contact me by email, phone or letter with the clients contact details and advising me that you have made a referral. Response Times

I can generally see a new patient within a week or less than this is the patient requires urgent support.

Fee Scales

I have a fee scale depending on the patients income and can negotiate a fee that the patient can afford. Patients receiving WINZ benefits in New Zealand may be able to get a special benefit allowance for counselling through a WINZ disability allowance.

Supervision

I am a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC). All NZAC members are required to have regular supervision of their work in order to develop and maintain a safe, ethical and effective practice. For full details of the NZAC Policy regarding supervision please click here.
